flawed work of art.

Last Saturday was a gloomy one, with the school hollies drawing to a close. Sigh. Went for the youth rally meet in church then headed off for a nice cool drink since we had a lot of time to spare. by the way, mine was sponsored by shawn. thanks dude! As it was Palm Sunday, we all walked into church with palms, no procession this year. I picked a small thorny one, just for kicks. Unfortunately, the thorns weren't sharp enough to cut through anything but shawn's fragile, feminine fingers. Hahahaa. My parents, Uncle Harris, Dan & I wolved down dinner, or rather dessert, coz' Dan had a movie to catch with his friends. I managed to persuade him to get a pink Padini shirt earlier that day. hehe. He didn't regret it. At least, not all the time. My mother was the one hurrying the poor waitress to get our order. Guess since she doesn't have a kid to fawn over, Dan gets special attention. Phew! Watched Hitch that night in the comforts of my own home. I think I traumatized Uncle Harris with my ear-piercing laugh that resembles a screech of tyres.
Sunday, the last day of the first term hols. Boohoo. Time just slips away when you're having fun. Shucks! A bird flew in to the house during tuition by mistake & couldn't get out no matter how many windows my teacher & I opened. I think it died after knocking it's little head on too many windows. That's the trouble with glass windows. Kids & animals alike fall prey to it's clear surface, which reminds of a time in vancouver with kfc & fam. This tall, Caucasian dude walked straight into the glass door and we, on the outside, were unfortunate enough to see the inside of his nostrils. It resembled one of those lame cartoons, just that this is real. His friends all laughed at the poor dude while the rest of the on-lookers tried to stifle a snigger or two. Sunday night was spent with my butt glued to the chair, completing my supposed hol assignments. Oh & scratching through the night, thanks to some food allergy of mine that the doctor-in-training (dan) diagnosed as nothing & ordered me to go to bed. I mean, if it was nothing, why'd he ask me to go to bed?
Well, well, Monday. What d'ya know? I woke up late. At precisely 6.57a.m. Yong was ringing the doorbell as I was happily snoozing in bed. This is like, what, the 4th time this year? Bad start to the new year, much? Thankfully, I got Dan to wake up (miracle, yeah, I know) & drive me all the way to school. The funny thing was he fell asleep in the van until half-past nine. Even dadda couldn't find him. He actually thought Dan went to S'pore with Kor. Dad was pretty amused when Dan explained where he was & what he was up to. Okok, I'll admit it, I fell asleep in the late afternoon too & didn't even wake up when Dad came home. He wants to get a shih-tzu! Like goosy's!!! Anyway, I woke up in cold sweat. It was weird. I never woke up like that before, with sweat all over me even with the air-con on.

I've been here before a few times
And I'm quite aware we're dying
And your hands they shake with goodbyes
And I'll take you back if you'd have me
So here I am, I'm trying
So here I am, are you ready?
Come on let me hold you, touch you
Feel you always
Kiss you, taste you all night
Blink 182 Always
